| In an ongoing effort to meet the needs of Kansans,
SRS recently conducted two sets of statewide public meetings. Legislators,
consumers, partners, and other interested parties were invited to participate.
The first round of meetings provided SRS an opportunity to specifically discuss policy changes made by the 2002 Kansas Legislature, and how those decisions would affect Kansans who receive SRS services. Finding ways for community partners to work with SRS to meet the social service needs in their community was also discussed during this group of meetings. The second round of meetings were used to gather information needed to plan for the FY 2004 budget. Information gathered from the stakeholder meetings, as well as past items regarding the SRS budget and policy changes, can be found bellow. |
