Fort Riley Update: Our proposal for the food services contract was hand-delivered on November 14, 2005, by Al Little, Retired Colonel of Food Services, Inc., our teaming partner. One or more food service contracts are expected to commence in June, 2006. A 30 day overlap of present and new vendors will occur in May, 2006 to transition the food services. Highway Vending Update: The BEP received no bids for the request for proposal (RFP) to build two vending shelters west of Junction City on Interstate 70. The BEP continues to work with SRS Purchasing to identify additional prospective building contractors in order to re-bid the RFP.
