Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH)
advocates for the accessibility of public services, ranging
from education to employment. This includes advocacy in
using interpreters when needed for mental health, medical
or legal services; captioning of local television news
broadcasts; 9-1-1 and emergency weather warnings.
KCDHH also recommends priorities for the development
and coordination of services, by serving as an advisory
board to the Governor, on the needs of Kansans who are
deaf or hard of hearing.
