Important Messages About Using This Assessment

*It may be helpful to have K.A.R. 30-63-21 (person centered planning regulation) and 30-64-24 (case management regulation) available for reference.

*Be sure to enter your full name, ID Number, and other information during each log-in. Don't rely on Window's automatic completion function.

*Close all other programs that may be running on Windows, such as Real Player or another music program, a wordprocessor, other internet connections, etc. Be sure all popup blockers are disabled.

*For best viewing, adjust the settings on your computer to 800 X 600 resolution. (Check with your technology support for this).

*Use Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. Avoid using Netscape Navigator as the browser.

*Be careful....the "Exit" button is very near the "Back" button.

*You may have loading delays. Be patient and don't click the "Next" button repeatedly. Keep track of the question that you are on and have answered.

*The questions will appear in random order. The answers also appear in random order, so read carefully.

*You can RESET the question panel on each question if you decide to change your answer. You can navigate forward (NEXT) and backward (BACK) throughout the module. IF YOU CLICK BACK AND YOU ARE ON THE FIRST QUESTION, IT WILL TAKE YOU BACK TO THE LOG IN SCREEN AND SEND IN YOUR SCORE. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING THE BACK BUTTON AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GO BACK PAST THE FIRST QUESTION YOU ANSWERED. YOU MAY WANT TO WRITE THE NUMBER OF THE FIRST QUESTION DOWN SO THAT YOU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE BACK TO IT. However, once you click "Next" on the final question, your responses will be scored. YOU WILL HAVE NO INDICATION THAT YOU ARE ON THE LAST QUESTION. You can count the questions as you move through the modules to know when you are on the final question.

Once you start the assessment, it is best that you finish. Exiting during the assessment will nullify your answers.

*You must score at least 85% on each module.

*You will not receive immediate feedback on each of your answers. At the end of the module, you will receive either a message to retry in a week or a certificate of successful completion, depending on your score. You must print the certificate of successful completion yourself if you want them for your records. Your score will be displayed in both cases.

*Your score will automatically be sent electronically to Health Care Policy in Topeka. You will not need to send a printed page to Topeka.
