Adult Mental Health

This Team focuses on the needs of individuals with a severe and persistent mental illness, including contracting for treatment services, piloting and disseminating knowledge of best practices, developing training requirements, providing technical assistance to community-based programs, and promoting the development of consumer-run organizations. Staff assignments ensure that there is expertise in the areas of housing, employment, forensics, aging, development of consumer input and alternatives, and acute care. In addition, the Team manages a fund to provide access to new medications for individuals not able to afford these effective but costly treatments. Contracts with providers include measuring outcomes such as employment, housing, and community tenure for adults in the target populations.
