Kansas Commodity Distribution Manual (KCDM) Revision Number 11 |
Revision number eleven of the Kansas Commodity Distribution Manual (KCDM) has been approved with an effective date of July 1, 2003. This includes the annual increase in the Federal Fiscal Year 2003 poverty income guidelines, updated contact information and letter head, updated food products in General Information, an increase in the mileage reimbursement rate to $.36 per mile, and a revised and updated Manifest Exhibit G form. KCDM is the manual for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
Instructions for implementing these changes include:
- Area offices will distribute a copy of the manual revision to all TEFAP participating organizations and individuals having Kansas Commodity Distribution Manuals or TEFAP implementation responsibilities.
- Request from the SRS Food Distribution Unit the total number of copies of this memo and manual revision needed to provide the information to all TEFAP participating organizations in their respective management area.
- All Kansas Commodity Distribution Manuals will be updated by doing
the following:
- Remove page 1-1, General Information and page 1-2, Commodity Availability. Insert new pages 1-1, 1-2 (Rev. 6/03).
- Remove page 2-3, Determination of Income and page 2-4, Income Standards (Rev. 6/02). Insert new pages 2-3, 2-4 (Rev. 6/03).
- Remove page 6-3, Determination of Income and page 6-4, Income Standards (Rev. 6/01). Insert new pages 6-3, 6-4 (Rev. 6/03).
- Remove page 8-2, Exhibit A-2, Distribution Area Contact Information (Rev. 6/00). Insert new page 8-2 (Rev. 6/03).
- Remove page 8-12, Exhibit E, Declaratory Statement/Inventory Control (Rev. 6/02). Insert new page 8-12 (Rev. 6/03).
- Remove page 8-14, Exhibit G, TEFAP Manifest (Rev. 6/92). Insert new page 8-14 (Rev. 6/03).
- Remove page 8-15, Exhibit H, TEFAP Reimbursement Letter. Insert new page 8-15.
Since community organizations and volunteers are the largest users of this manual, the changes will continue to be implemented in both paper and on the web site. All of these changes are effective July 1, 2003. Your help in communicating with and assisting participating organizations in implementing these revisions is very much appreciated.
