Information Technology
staff understand the importance of supporting the SRS information
network from help desk staff to telecommunications experts to data
base modelers and applications programmers.
SRS has over 6,000
nodes on the network at 138 different locations across the state,
in virtually every county. Our network consists of 190 Novell and
NT servers and a PC on every desktop. The network is used for both
office productivity type applications (e-mail, document sharing and
mainframe access), and a growing set of new web-based applications.
