May 5, 2009 - SRS to host public meeting to solicit input for the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation and Supported Employment Topeka - The Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) is hosting a public meeting for individuals and organizations interested in employment services for people with disabilities to provide input on the FFY 2010 Update to the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation and Supported Employment Services. The meeting will be held 2 to 3:30 p.m. on May 12, 2009. Kansas Rehabilitation Services Director Michael Donnelly will host the meeting at 5.4.7 Arts Center, 204 W. Wisconsin, Greensburg, KS and will also broadcast the meeting via interactive web cast to SRS Service Centers in the following locations:
Input and recommendations received through the public hearing will be considered when updating the State Plan and will be used to guide staff initiatives to carry out the agency’s strategic goals. Donnelly will also be seeking public input on use of stimulus funds directed toward the vocational rehabilitation program through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
