Topeka- The Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) transition to a new payment center contractor for child support enforcement occurred without incident.
SRS contracted with JP Morgan Chase to serve as the statewide payment processing services provider. The four-year contract is valued at over $19 million, $2.4 million a year less than the previous contractor.
JP Morgan Chase began processing child support payments for the Kansas Payment Center on July 1st. The payment center processed nearly $30 million dollars and 180,000 payments during the first month of operation.
“The transition went very smoothly,” said SRS Secretary Don Jordan. “JP Morgan has been very responsive to the needs of our customers. I am pleased with the high level of service they have provided.”
