Dear SRS Stakeholders, Partners, Allies, and Consumers:

As the Legislative Session comes to a close, SRS invites you to attend a statewide public presentation hosted by Secretary Janet Schalansky. The presentation will review current and upcoming social service policy and program changes resulting from decisions being made by the Kansas Legislature, and how those affect SRS.

For more information or to request special accommodations for the May 29 meeting, please call Hope Burns at 785-296-3271 by Thursday, May 23.

SRS will also hold a series of community meetings across the state to specifically discuss how the changes will affect your area, how community partners can work together to meet the social service needs in their communities, and to gather information needed to plan for the future as we prepare our FY 2004 budget. These meetings will take place in June and July. To find out when these will be held in your vicinity, a list of community meetings is attached.
