June 19, 2001 - Consumers of social services and their families are invited to attend statewide SRS public meetingsThe Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) is holding a series of public meetings across the state to gather input from individuals and families receiving social services. The following is a list of dates and locations:
The meeting will offer consumers and their families a chance to speak with the SRS Secretary Janet Schalansky, share their ideas and concerns, and help SRS plan for the future of social service programs in Kansas. SRS administers a variety of social service programs throughout the state that include child abuse and neglect reporting, foster care, adoption, family preservation, cash and medical assistance, vocational rehabilitation, services for persons with disabilities, mental health and substance abuse treatment and recovery, child support enforcement, and adult protective services. The Secretary previously visited with consumers and their families in the Kansas City, Wichita, and Hays areas.
