February 25, 1997 - Re: Manhattan Area SRS to host March 6 community meeting about what to expect in local communities due to welfare reform The Manhattan Area Office of the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) will hold a community informational meeting on the impact of welfare reform on Thursday, March 6. The community meeting will be held at the Manhattan SRS office, 327 Colorado, from 7 to 9 p.m. This location was changed from an earlier announcement. The meeting will be hosted by Flordie Pettis, Manhattan SRS Area Office Director. Also on hand will be Kip Lee, Income Maintenance Chief, and Ivan Katzmeier, Employment Preparation Service Chief. SRS
strongly encourages community leaders and the general public to attend
the meeting and become aware of the implications of welfare reform for
local communities. Page Last Updated: May 29, 2001 |
