Summary and Economic Impact.
This memo outlines the Secretary's actions involving the amendment of certain regulations on a permanent basis. This regulation is scheduled to become effective 14 days after the final publication in the Kansas Register. The economic impact statement have been figured on an annual basis.
Certain of the amendments to the administrative regulations are only technical in nature (typographical, etc.). Such corrections do not affect policy and therefore are usually not mentioned in this summary.
The phrase "Federal Mandate" following an item indicates that the change is required by federal policy. Optional changes in regulations related to federal programs are subject to approval by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

30-63-32.. Case Management. This is a new regulation to replace revoked regulation 30-64-24. It is being developed to more efficiently align MR/DD case management provider standards with the issuance of the SRS license, and to implement changes necessitated by a change in the case management funding mechanism. This regulation addresses standards concerning the provision of case management services. It involves the services the Case Manager may and may not provide and the rules of conduct for case managers. It clarifies the required qualifications for a case manager regarding experience and education. Other technical changes have also been made to this regulation.
