900-29 HANDLING INQUIRIES REGARDING LEGAL CASE STATUS
This Business Practice is used to flow through and access information on legal actions. Some examples are: an AR requests the status of a legal case; an AP inquires about a legal document just received; or non-legal staff need the status of a legal case.
Next to LEGL:
1. On LEGL:
--Select Legal Actions by CSE Person (LAPS) (For example: If you receive a telephone inquiry and the court case number is not known)--
--Proceed to Step 2--
OR
--Select Legal Actions by CSE Case (LACS) (If the CSE case number is known)--
--Proceed to Step 4--
2. On LAPS:
--Enter SSN--
--Press PF2 Display--
--If more information is needed, select the appropriate legal action--
--Press PF15 to proceed to LACT--
3. On LACT:
--Press appropriate PF key or use Next field to proceed to other screens as necessary--
4. On LACS:
--Enter CSE case number--
--Press PF2 Display--
--If more information is needed, select the appropriate legal action--
--Press PF15 to proceed to LACT--
5. On LACT:
--Press appropriate PF key or use Next field to proceed to other screens as necessary--
