1100-24 CHANGING OR DELETING OBLIGATION INTEREST SUSPENSION

The system automatically assesses interest on certain identified types of obligations. This process is used for the exception when interest has been suspended and the suspension needs to be changed or deleted. This business practice can be used after an obligation has been activated. See Business Practice 1100-1 Adding a New Accruing Obligation to activate an accruing obligation. You can only delete a suspension on the day it is entered.

Next to OPAY if using the AP/Payor Person number:

1.    On OPAY: 

--Enter the AP/Payor Person number--

--Press PF2 Display--

--Type an AS@ next to the obligation you want to select--

--Press PF15 to go to the appropriate obligation screen--

OR

Next to OCTO if using the Standard Court Order number:

1.    On OCTO:

--Enter the Standard Court Order number--

--Press PF2 Display--

--Type an AS@ next to the obligation type you want to select--

--Press PF17 to go to the appropriate Obligation Screen--

2.    On the appropriate Obligation Screen:

--Press PF16 List/Maintain obligation Interest Suspension (INMS)--

3.    On INMS:

--If you want to change a suspension, enter--

S in the Sel field

The changed information

--Press PF6 Update--
