For Federal
Fiscal Years 1998 to 2002, there was an error in Kansas Federal AFCARS
reporting which incorrectly reported the number of children released from
custody for reason of adoption. As a result of this federal reporting error,
Kansas data profiles did not properly reflect the number of children with timely adoptions. This data error was
corrected in Spring of 2003. Thus, the
decrease in percentage of children adopted
timely between FFY 2002 and FY2003 reflects improved data reporting to
The Department of Heath and Human Services, not an actual change in case
activity. |
